There is a fundamental difference between a drummer who has learned Brazilian patterns and one who grew up surrounded by Brazilian music. Marius Rodrigues was born and raised in Porto Alegre, Brazil — a city with one of the richest musical cultures in South America.

ブラジリアンパターンを学んだドラマーと、ブラジルの音楽に囲まれて育ったドラマーには根本的な違いがあります。マリウスはブラジルのポルト・アレグレで生まれ育ちました。

He studied under Kiko Freitas — widely regarded as one of the greatest Brazilian drummers alive, known for his mastery of samba and bossa nova and for the way he makes rhythm breathe. These lessons go beyond patterns. The focus is on feel, coordination, and the musical logic that makes samba and bossa nova sound authentic.

Marius was born in Porto Alegre, Brazil and studied under Kiko Freitas — one of the most celebrated Brazilian drummers alive. What he teaches is not learned from books or recordings alone; it is knowledge absorbed through a lifetime of living inside this music.

マリウスはブラジルのポルト・アレグレ出身で、キコ・フレイタスに師事。彼が教えることは本や録音だけから学んだのではなく、この音楽の中に生涯を通じて吸収した知識です。

Lessons are available in English and Japanese, in a private studio in Nerima-ku, Tokyo. One-on-one only. No fixed curriculum — each lesson evolves based on your playing and musical direction.
