Do I need my own drum kit?

No drum kit needed — the studio has two full acoustic kits provided by Bonney Drums Japan. Please bring your own drumsticks. If you don't have any yet, just mention it when you get in touch and Marius can advise on what to get before your first lesson.

I've never played drums before. Is that okay?

Absolutely. Complete beginners are very welcome — in fact, some of the most rewarding lessons are with students who are starting from zero. There is no prior experience required. The first session is about getting comfortable with the instrument and understanding what you want to get out of playing.

How much does a lesson cost, and how long is it?

Each lesson is one hour and costs ¥6,500. Lessons are private and one-on-one — you get the full hour with Marius, focused entirely on your playing and your goals. There are no long-term contracts or commitments required.
各レッスンは1時間で、料金は¥6,500です。レッスンはプライベートのマンツーマン形式で、マリウスとの1時間全てがあなたの演奏と目標に集中します。長期契約や縛りは一切ありません。
How do I get to the studio from central Tokyo?

The studio is in Nerima-ku, with easy access from Shinjuku (around 20 minutes) and Ikebukuro (around 15 minutes) by train. Exact directions are provided once your lesson is confirmed.

Can lessons be conducted in English?
英語でのレッスンは可能ですか？
Yes — lessons are conducted in English. Marius teaches many expat and international students in Tokyo, and you are welcome to communicate entirely in English throughout. Any questions about language are best discussed once you make first contact.

Do I have to commit to a set schedule?

No fixed commitment is required. Many students come weekly, but the schedule is flexible and arranged directly. If your availability changes, that is not a problem. Just get in touch and we will find a time that works.
